Our STD/STI screenings and counseling services fall within our first Pillar of Dignity of Health.

 

We offer free, onsite HIV testing along with medical referrals for a variety of care, including mental health, HIV prevention and treatment, and reproductive health. Staff are well-informed on community healthcare resources and frequently offer BSA's testing and referral services through outreach opportunities at third-party events. 

 

HIV screening is available onsite during business hours by certified staff. These services follow a peer-led, trauma-informed approach to testing and linkage to care. Education, linkage to PrEP (HIV prevention medication), and health literacy support are provided for our BSA community through information sessions and topics covered in the testing sessions, within our support groups, and during linkage appointments.
