Brave Space Alliance's second annual Partners in Dignity Soiree invites attendees to join trans and LGBQ+ advocates and allies in reflecting on the past year of collective strength and the impact of investing in for-us, by-us, informed community care.
About Partners in Dignity
Join us for the 2026 Partners in Dignity Soiree: Planting Power and Perseverance. Brave Space Alliance's annual fundraiser and awards ceremony will feature a cocktail hour, light bites, an opportunity to meet pillars in Chicago's LGBTQ+ community, and impact-based inspiration during a fireside chat with esteemed activist, writer, and lecturer, Angela Davis.

On a journey of collective power and future building, we'll reflect on the impact of the past year's political turbulence and come together to strengthen our community for what is to come.

with the esteemed Angela Davis​​
Angela Davis is internationally known for her ongoing work to combat all forms of oppression in the U.S. and abroad. Her work as an educator—both at the university level and in the larger public sphere—has always emphasized the importance of building communities of struggle for economic, racial, and gender equality.
​
Angela Y. Davis is professor emerita of history of consciousness and feminist studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. An activist, writer, and lecturer, her work focuses on prisons, policing, abolition, and the related intersections of race, gender, and class.
​
Joining her and moderating our conversation on Power and Perseverance will be Interim CEO of Brave Space Alliance Nikki Patin and BSA Board Co-Chair Maliyah Arnold.
